October 21, 2013 – Shakti Dalal, a breast cancer survivor who had her breast reconstructive surgery at Westside Surgical Hospital appeared today on FOX 26’s morning news show. Interviewed by award-winning journalist, Rita Garcia, the mother of three small children shared her story of bravery. Dalal found a lump in her underarm while breast-feeding her baby and thought it was a clogged milk duct. Fortunately, “something told me I needed to go to the doctor,” and that was when she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Dalal was also the top fundraiser for the Westside Surgical Hospital team in the recent Susan B. Komen Race for the Cure.
