Houston, TX – Westside Surgical Hospital has opened its doors in central Houston at 4200 Twelve Oaks, conveniently located off of Southwest Freeway near Wesleyan street. The physician-owned surgical hospital covers 45,000 square feet and four floors. Developed by Medical Properties Trust, Inc., the multi-million dollar project began in 2012 and was completed at the end of January, 2013. Since opening, the facility has already performed more than 200 surgical cases.

“Our surgical hospital was built by health care providers with the patient in mind,” says Mary Nan Whitmeyer, the hospital’s Chief Administrative Officer. “We are delighted to offer the community a facility designed for the whole patient through advanced technology, personalized care, and specialized amenities,” she shares.

The hospital focuses on surgical procedures in the areas of breast reconstruction, plastic surgery, orthopedics, spine, ENT, pain management, cardiology, gastroenterology and more. The facility includes a full-service Emergency Room, six operating suites, two procedure rooms, advanced diagnostic imaging and laboratory testing. Westside Surgical Hospital has invested heavily in new technology and equipment making the facility truly first rate. Services like meditation classes, survivor support groups, a concierge and appearance consultants are also part of the planned Westside Surgical Hospital experience. The hospital employs nearly 100 health care professionals and has over 100 physicians on its medical staff.
